Delaney's 2nd Birthday

Delaney had taken quite an interest (read: slight obsession) with tea parties. So I came up with the idea for a theme of Tea for Two since she was turning two. I tried to keep it low key, ordered her a cute shirt from Etsy and made a matching tutu, and found some plastic teacups with lids and straws. Why do these people spoil this child beyond belief?? She seriously got the most absurd amount of gifts, especially considering her birthday comes days before Christmas. But, I am pretty sure that Delaney managed to collect every item of Frozen products currently available.

THREE Olafs.

Her very own "Shiny Nose" as she calls him

Leighton needs a Cozy Coupe!

Didn't take long to test it out!

Loves her Aunt Kissi!

So. Chalk that up to pregnancy brain. Why on earth I bought a 4 instead of a 2 is beyond me. Guess I will be saving that for two more years.

And one last cupcake on the morning of her actual birthday

When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she repeatedly told us she wanted pink earrings. SERIOUSLY????? So Daddy took her to get some pink earrings. And strangely enough, Zales actually ended up being cheaper than any other store around. When we showed her the case of childrens jewelry, she immediately saw some pink heart stones and said "Yeah, that one right there. I want." Girlfriend knows what she wants.

The love for Shiny Nose is very real.
So, the last year has brought a lot of changes for our girl. At almost 18 months she finally decided to walk. Her speech became more clear and she added more words to her vocabulary. Her hair grew a LOT and those beautiful curls continued to develop. She tried out dance classes, but wasn't quite ready for them yet. She lost her beloved Grandpa. She met her favorite character Elmo and dove into a love for water and swimming. She eats literally everything, while continuing to stay quite petite. She's still an awesome sleeper and loves her own space. She had her first stomach bug, which kicked her butt. She makes us laugh, loves her Daddy something fierce, and has all the men in our families wrapped around her finger. And most of the women too.
